Each wall that a RF signal must travel through reduces the signal strength by approximately 3db. 3db equates to approximately 30 Feet. Why is this important? If you are considering a wireless remote that provides a 60-foot range, then also consider that one wall will reduce the signal to a range that makes the remote relatively ineffective in and around an average size home. The iJet remote offers the greatest RF signal range of any remote made specifically for iPods that is on the market today.

After a disappointing experience with the Griffin "AirClick", I found the ABT iJet to be exactly what I was looking for in an RF based remote for my iPod.  I work in an Operating Room, and controlling an iPod remotely has long been a desire of mine.  Unfortunately, my work environment is flooded with background RF noise and Griffin's "AirClick" simply wouldn't work properly here.  Not so with the iJet, the remote stayed put on my shirt, the buttons were easy to find and manipulate through my surgical gown, and even in a work environment like mine, the iJet functioned as advertised, working even through walls and at distances well beyond what I needed.  This is by far my favorite iPod accessory.  Thanks for a great product!

Wow!  I received the unit yesterday eve, and it is fantastic.  First, out of the box, the unit worked great.  I tested it with the IPod in my backpack and I could control both the volume and move forward and backward.  The real test came in using it in my home.  I live in a new home in the San Francisco area.  My house is constructed with steel studs and joists.  The only wood used in construction is the sub-flooring on the second floor and on the roof.  I set up the IPod on my In Motion speakers on the first floor and was able to control the unit throughout the house.  I even moved the speakers to the patio and was still able to control the IPod from my second floor front room.  This is definitely the RF unit to buy.
